     Game Round Up
Some games have been catching my attention as we prepare for the game art section of nmd 206. Here's a round up:

    1.
    Patriot Act: The Home Game

Instead of landing on, say Oriental Avenue, players land on a color- coded spaces corresponding to the national terror alert. A player who lands on a red space loses one civil liberty, as does anyone else within five spaces. A player who lands on an orange space gets to designate another player to lose one civil liberty.

    2.
    Chinese Propaganda: The Home Game

"Propagameda"? Too bad it forces a stress on the last e and makes it sound like a star trek planet.

The objectives of Learning from Comrade Lei Feng include such acts of fearless heroism as helping old ladies across the street and politely persuading strangers not to swear or spit in the street. Complete these and other exhilarating tasks, and you'll get the chance to meet a virtual Chairman Mao in Tiananmen Square and get his virtual autograph too.

    3. A Force More Powerful

On the flip side, this is a video game designed to teach non violent revolutionaries about strategies used in previous peaceful interventions against corrupt governments, from changing laws to ending wars to overthrowing the government altogether. Pretty awesome stuff!
