     Pheromone Hacking Ants
For NMD 206, here's my intent slash proposal concerning ants, pheromones, plasma TV hacks and cynicism: The Ant Pheromone Hack.

Still looking for ways to flesh this thing out. I'm really interested in finding a way to make a project about this project, because this one will likely never be realized. I am entertaining a few options, but advice is welcome.

By the way, is that common? Does anyone else know about any artists blogs that work openly as a way of gathering input and educating an artists choices? I'm not claiming to lead a revolution here, but I like the idea, and am curious if anyone else is doing it out there.

I am more interested in the "art" of Mathematics and Physics. The aesthetics found in nature and the laws of the world. Mathematical art, order symmetry, broken symmetry..

So I don't really cruise a lot of artists' blogs. I haven't come across a meta-art blog, if you will, before though. I think it is a great idea to make your art be a work of the community(ies) to which you belong. It is your art, but you are talking about it and soliciting feedback, and perhaps making changes.

I think it is a great way to open a dialog before your piece is even finished. You now have a feeling of ownership among a wide array of the people who helped, and that means exposure to more people, and perhaps the message or idea you are trying to invoke will now reach more people.. Someone is more likely to point to a friend and say, Hey look at this project out there! If they had a piece (a small piece but a piece nontheless) in it's creation.

That idea could even ascend (or descend) to marketing and product creation. You get the general idea of your product and the market, you get the general idea of how you will create it and how you will market it. Now you do your market research. Only this time it isn't to paid people sitting in a room with very strict settings being asked set questions. You are sharing your thoughts and getting input.

I like it. Granted, I'm more of follower of logic than of art, but I find logic beautiful, so maybe I am a follower of art after all?
